"The pupil of the eye expands as much as 45 percent when a person looks at something pleasing."

A fact that I found on tumblr. :D

I think it's fascinating.

I bet in order to test that, scientists or whatever got an ugly person and a pretty person. Then they got random people to first look at the ugly person, then the pretty person and compared the differences in pupil size.

I guess an ugly person isn't really needed...just a pretty person. But I'm sure scientists enjoy any chance they can to crush someone's ego.

My little sis and dad are back from their week-long trip. :)

I missed my sister, but like I said before, she was off having a great time. She probably didn't miss anyone that much except for Mom, haha.

When my mom, brother, and I picked them up from the airport, I was like, "Woah o_o" when I saw my sister because she looks like how a five year old should. She's reaaalllyyy skinny because she's such a picky eater and would rather play than eat, but I guess our dad managed to get her to eat! She has a very slight pudginess in her face now (but could definitely stand to gain some more weight). All little kids should have some pudginess, in my opinion at least.

Hmm...hopefully her eating habits have improved. I think the main reason she ate more than usual is because on their week away, they ate out most the time. Eating out a lot is definitely a way to gain weight, but I think in my sister's case, it's because at a restaurant she can get exactly what she's craving for. Once she gets something she actually wants to eat, she eats it all. At home, food choices are more limited.

Urgh, she'll get over her pickiness.

I'm kind of jealous though! She got to eat at all the old restaurants we as a family would eat at before we moved. Yeah, my dad and sister flew to where we used to live. That city had so many good restaurants.

My dad got us our new phones.

The Samsung a777.

Very pretty to look at, isn't it? Haha.

No qwerty keypad, but I'm definitely thinking about switching from my bb curve to that. That sounds pretty stupid, but oh well. I honestly don't need a bb, and the Samsung a777 is so compact and lightweight.

It also has Diner Dash, Guitar Hero, and PacMan as games. AND IT'S A SLIDE PHONE. ;)

Maybe I should just wait awhile though. I'm attached to my bb. :P Since my bb has no internet connection though, the main highlights of it are its camera and qwerty keypad for texting...which are pretty big highlights.

So I don't know. I guess I just want a new phone so much that I'm willing to settle, haha. My dad offered to get me a new bb, but like I said before, I really don't need one. I only have a bb because my dad got a new phone and let me have his old one (the bb curve). :)

Wow, look at me. I sound so materialistic, ha.

I am materialistic though, so it's all good.

I'm watching The Office right now. :D

That show's hilarious. I bet some people think that The Office has gone downhill, especially since Jim and Pam finally became a couple, but I think it's still pretty good. There have been sappy moments, but I guess even comedies can have cheesy moments every now and then.

Basically my plans for today are to catch up on The Office, blog hop, and stay in my room the whole day.

*high fives Bob*

I made a private blog for myself, and I just typed up one long ass entry. Haha. :)

It feels good to let all this personal stuff out of my head. My personal thoughts finally have a home now. :D It feels kind of unfamiliar to just blog without holding anything back, but I'll get used to it.

I still feel slightly paranoid though that, somehow, someone I know will manage to find my personal blog and figure out the info to read it...I just need to hammer it in my head that that's NOT going to happen.

Once a paranoid freak, always a paranoid freak.

But I guess if someone did manage to get that blog's url and username/password, they deserve to read it since they went through all that trouble. ;) Ha.

I was going to type up a girly entry, but then I thought to myself as I started on it, "Well this is awkward."

So no girly entry. It's just not me to gush on and on about some guy. o_o I kind of want to gush though, haha. I tried to, but I failed. I just kind of froze up and couldn't type anything. For once in my blogging history, I was unable to ramble.

But I guess I'll at least say that he has really cute eyes. Like REALLY cute. :D

........

Was that as awkward for you to read as it was awkward for me to type? -.-

Hmm...I guess I'll cut this entry short. I'll probably be spamming my tumblr though.

I was tagged on Facebook to share 25 facts about myself, but I'm going to be like Ninja Sis and type up those facts on my blog.

(All images in this blog entry are credited with a click-through link)

1) I will be switching blog hosts in May instead of November because I can't wait that long! I know I'm breaking a promise I made to myself, but Wordpress.com is so constricting. I'm kicking myself for not doing proper research before I joined the Wordpress bandwagon. Still, once May comes around, I'll have had this blog for six (technically five, but whatever) months which is a major record for me. Seriously.

2) Giving advice scares me because people might actually do what I suggest.

3) I think that girls are naturally bitchy. This is why I try to avoid them. I do have a lot of girls as friends, but there's only a select few that I can truly stand and be myself around. Besides those select few, I think that guy friends are better.

4) I'm a homebody. I would live in my pajamas if I could. Once I get home I immediately change into them. Jeans just aren't really my thing. I can't understand why people would wear jeans at home if they're not going anywhere when they have more comfy choices of clothing to wear. Sometimes I don't want to go out because that would require me having to change out of my PJs. Pathetic, haha.

5) I'm not sure why long walks on the beach are one of the first things people associate with the word 'romantic'.

6) I'm scared of the future. I'm scared of not finding a job that makes me happy. I'm afraid I'll get a job I hate. I'm afraid that I'll have a failed marriage. I'm afraid of having kids and failing them as a mom. I'm scared that the world will get so bad that we all just stay in our houses and hide. Right now, I'm most afraid of natural disasters.

7) I hate bad lies more than I hate when people lie. I think if you're going to lie, you better lie WELL. If you tell an obvious lie, well that's just offensive to me. That means that you must think I'm really dumb.

8. I try not to say that I hate people. I say that I hate certain characteristics about them, but I never say that I hate them overall or in general. For example: I hate how Bob lies all the time vs. I hate Bob.

9) I wish I could see myself from other people's eyes.

10) I wish certain douche bags people could see themselves through other people's eyes.

11) I love cheesy pick-up lines. They make my day.

12) I wish I had more determination and could dream big like other people. I guess ever since I was born, I knew I would just be average...just another cog in the machine. I never have aspired to being something great like an astronaut or a Broadway star. It amazes me when people dream big like that and have such a drive and passion.

13) Chewing and smacking is one of my biggest pet peeves. Chinese people are the worst at eating quietly.

14) I hate explaining things. If someone asks me for help on a math problem, I'd rather just give them the answer. Sometimes I tell people, "I don't know" if they ask me for help when I do know. Yeah, I suck.

15) In kindergarten, I barely spoke. I have no idea why. I didn't really start to speak until, guess what, someone asked me for help on an addition problem. Stupid math.

16) I believe that side-swept bangs give people an ego. Seriously. A lot of girls I know got big-headed after they got side-swept bangs. This is like another fact thrown in itself, but: I hate when girls with side-swept bangs constantly fidget with their hair. This one girl I know keeps tossing her hair back out of her face every 10 seconds.

17) Sometimes I wonder what type of music people think I'm listening to when I have my earphones on. One girl told me she was surprised I listened to Kid Cudi. Whaaaa? Do you have to look a certain way to enjoy a certain type of music? Should I be interested in Asian boy bands instead since I'm ASIAN? Chinky chinky chinky.

18) I don't believe anything can be called a "masterpiece" if a toddler could produce something like it. Why does that one artist get praised for their little paint scribbles? Why can't a child be so highly praised for their paint scribbles as well? What makes that one artist's scribbles so unique and worthy? If people say, "Oh, you say that because you don't get their artwork" then they're full of pretentious bull.

19) I probably use sarcasm a little too much.

20) I don't like having friends where we can't playfully insult each other. STOP BEING SO SENSITIVE. It takes the fun out of everything, and I always have to carefully word things in case they might get offended.

21) I'm borderline obsessed with skincare.

22) I love dark shades of gray. I think dark gray tops look good on anyone.

23) I'm jealous of people who can pull off wearing all black or all white. Geez, the ONE time I wear all dark colors, not even black, I get questioning stares from friends and those lame funeral remarks.

24) I think people who wear white jeans are brave. There's too many horrible things that could go wrong in my opinion.

25) I want to be either taller or shorter. I don't like being average height.

Mondays are terrible. It's always so hard to force yourself out of bed. The other week days aren't so good either though.

Hmmm...but other than that, today was alright. The usual I guess.

My little sister is on a week-long trip with our dad...

It's sad not having her around the house. She always cheers me up and makes my day. She's such a cutie. :P She's having lots of fun though! When I call them, she always sounds very cheery and excited. Trips are pretty exciting...packing, the travel there, staying in hotels...traveling is probably twice as fun for her as it is for me. ^-^
